Saturnalia – A KAT Tradition

Saturnalia is an ancient festival in honor of the god the Roman god Saturn.

The holiday was celebrated in a party atmosphere that overturned social norms such that gambling was allowed and masters served their servants for a few days.

At Kepler Astrologers Toastmasters, Saturnalia is a special meeting where we suspend the usual tracking of Um’s and Ah’s, show flexibility on speaking slot timing and show our appreciation for the blessings of Saturn, however limiting they may be.

KAT members who participate in the Annual KAT Showcase have the opportunity to continue to stretch their skills again by taking part in our Jupiter ingress panel webcast.  The panel run by past-president Meghna Bhagat and features 10 other club members  share their takes on this year’s Jupiter in Leo transit for each of the 12th houses with interpretations for 2026.

KAT club members represent a variety of astrological disciplines including Hellenistic, Jyothish, vibrational, evolutionary, psychological and modern disciplines. The panel discussion is available via the Kepler College Toastmasters YouTube channel.
