Saturnalia – A KAT Tradition

Saturnalia is an ancient festival in honor of the god the Roman god Saturn.

The holiday was celebrated in a party atmosphere that overturned social norms such that gambling was allowed and masters served their servants for a few days.

At Kepler Astrologers Toastmasters, Saturnalia is a special meeting where we suspend the usual tracking of Um’s and Ah’s, show flexibility on speaking slot timing and show our appreciation for the blessings of Saturn, however limiting they may be.
