One site to rule them all!

If the greyed out image above was your first impression of Kepler Astrologers Toastmasters, it’s a wonder that you are still here.  Honestly for an organization based on developing better communication skills these pages leave much room for improvement.   

When I was VP Membership last year I that many KAT members had navigating the maze of Toastmasters resources, rules and role responsibilities. Many KATs put forth creative ideas for streamlining the process that I love.  After all, we signed up to learn better speaking skills – not mastering the esoteric maze of TMI resources.  As a former librarian and tech product manager I read this situation as a challenge and opportunity.  

Quite frankly I didn’t know if I was up to the challenge and still don’t.  But if there’s anything we are learning here at Toastmasters it’s the importance of doing things that scare you.  Taking it one step at a time, one page at a time, this website is my first attempt at bringing it all together. The goal is to make information findable, actionable and useful.  Like a garden, it is and always will be a work in progress.  As long as there are Astrologers who want to find a community of practice, who want to work the Toastmasters learning program, who want to challenge themselves to develop their unique voice I hope this resource will be a good place to start. 

Mastering the language of Astrology is often a solo journey.  But you’ll find the practice of learning any language to be limited unless and until you immerse yourself in a culture where people are fluent.  Listening, reading, writing, speaking, and hearing the planets speak is one of the reasons I cherish this community. The seeds are planted and now it’s time to tend the garden. There is a patch for each of you. What do you hope to grow this year?
